Group Exercise

GX stands for Group Exercise
At Fitness Zone, GX consists of members coming together in classes led by experienced and certified professionals putting exercise and music together in a structured environment. Typically, members in fitness clubs are used to exercising using cardio equipment such as treadmills, nikes, cross trainers and steppers and/ or free weights or strength machines; however with the introduction of GX, members have the option of adding variety to their exercise program by joining GX programs. In Fitness Zone, GX is conducted through an average 60minute class in a very motivating atmosphere. In Brunei, the success and popularity of our GX programs is largely due to our ability to offer a wide variety of group exercise classes suitable for participants of all ages and backgrounds, from first-timers to die-hard atheletes. But most importantly, GX allows members to meet and make friends; and have a great time while working out and getting healthy!

GX PROCEDURES
The following procedures have been implemented worldwide for your safety and are designed to make your group exercise experience more enjoyable.

  • All classes listed on the general timetable are free. There are no additional charges except for the specialized classes.
  • The capacity of classes is fixed due to safety regulations.
  • Members may register at the front desk 30 minutes before and until the class begins. For the sake of fairness to all Fitness Zone members, bookings can only be made at least 30 minutes before the class with an additional payment of $3, which will be donated to FZ charity fund.
  • Members will be given a class pass at point of registration, please hand it to the GX instructors when you enter the studio.
  • For the safety of all members, including yourself, please do not enter the studio after a class has started. Please also be on time for equipment-based classes.
  • Studio doors must be closed during classes to avoid interference between studio and club sound systems.
  • As a courtesy to other members, please turn off your mobile phone upon entering the studio.
  • When a class concludes, the studio will need to be cleared of all members in order to prepare for the following class and to allow members to enter for the next class. Please kindly exit when required to do so to facilitate the process.

Cardio-Vascular Classes
A simple, high-intensity group exercise-to-music class that’s fully optioned to cater for all fitness levels. Experience high-energy sports training moves for cardiovascular fitness with upper and lower body conditioning exercise.

 

Indoor Cycling Classes
RPM A fun, athletic, cardiovascular cycling class – the ultimate calorie killer. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials and interval training. Discover the athlete within you – sweat and burn to reach your endorphin high.

 

Dance Classes

Body toning & muscle conditioning Classes
BodyCombat BODYCOMBAT is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate boxing taekwondo tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors you strike punch kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts, and curls. A fitness boot camp is type of outdoor group exercise class that mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. One underlying component of a good boot camp fitness class is creating a spirit of teamwork and group support and cohesion.
cxworx Tone your muscle with hand weights, fit-balls and floor-based exercises. Great for those just starting out on a muscle conditioning program.

 

Mind and Body Classes
BodyBalance A revolution in mind and body training. A fantastic mind/body class that integrates tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, Flexibility and Core Training set to uplifting and inspirational music. This class leaves you feeling refreshed & renewed with a sense of wellbeing and calm.
